ALAS Group Extends Its Global Footprint Into Zimbabwe

November 18th, 2022.

The Executive Chairman of The ALAS Group Corporation, Mr. Dustin Paul Wilden will be on an official executive visit to Zimbabwe from the 26th of December to the 29th of December 2022 ahead of official meetings with government officials, regional stakeholders and executive interviews with members of the media.

Mr. Wilden is expected to hold talks concerning issues surrounding renewable energy and climate change among other critical global and national issues.

ALAS Group Corporation expanded its global operations network into Southern Africa in November of 2021, with the mandate to help and assist the region recover and realise an economic turnaround in various sectors, including aviation, tourism and sustainable development through strategic business engagements, forging and promoting bilateral and multilateral ties and sustainable partnerships with governments and regional stakeholders on Public Private Partnerships (PPP) and Foreign Direct Investments (FDI).

Zimbabwe, as the rest of the world, is advocating for green technology and the migration from fossil fuels to renewables, which will significantly alter the global economy and promote sustainable economic development.

Reliance on fossil fuels has not only significantly contributed to climate change but also adversely affected global inflation which has resulted in a rise in the cost of living thereby promoting and raising poverty in the society.

Mr. Wilden's visit to Zimbabwe is aimed at promoting and deliberating on sustainable ways through which Zimbabwe and ALAS Group can bilaterally cooperate on renewables and other United Nations Sustainable Development Goals in the near future.

Accompanying Mr. Wilden on the executive visit will be ALAS Group Southern Africa CEO, Mr. Shelton Nkomo.
